Government's legislative work plan for 2025 approved

The Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov approved the Government's Plan of Legislative Work for 2025.It will be necessary to develop 6 draft laws in a new version, as well as to amend 13 existing laws and regulations, El.kz cites primeminister.kz.

Prime Minister noted that 12 out of 19 bills were aimed at the implementation of instructions of the Head of State. The Government and other state bodies will have to prepare an impressive package of legislative initiatives aimed at sustainable development of the economy, improvement of the health care system, as well as the quality of life of citizens.

As part of the implementation of the Head of State's Address, the draft Plan provides for the development of a new Law ‘On Banks and Banking Activities’ aimed at sustainable development of the financial market and stimulation of economic activity of businesses and citizens. Special attention is also paid to the improvement of electoral legislation, civil service, compulsory medical insurance, development of health care, alternative energy sources, telecommunications market and data processing centres.

The proposed draft Plan was approved by the members of the Government. Prime Minister instructed to finalise the introduction and ensure quality support in Parliament of all the remaining draft laws of the Plan of this year.
