The Government of Kazakhstan has additionally allocated 22.7 bln tenge from the emergency reserve to eliminate the consequences of floods and restore destroyed infrastructure facilities. The corresponding decree was signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, El.kz reports.
The funds will be sent for the restoration, reconstruction, construction of roads, as well as bridges and culverts in Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions.
In particular, 31 projects are being implemented in the Aktobe region, including the repair of culverts on the Irgiz Nura, Irgiz-Kutikol, Kumtogai settlement, the road to the village of Uil, the reconstruction of the bridge over the Uil River, the construction of a bridge in the village Aike village of Aitekebi district.
In the Akmola region, the reconstruction of the section of the road to the city of Atbasar, the Atbasar-Sochinskoye highway, the repair of the Zhaltyr-Makinsk roads, the access to the village of Koluton, Zhambyl and other settlements will be carried out. In total there are 14 directions.
In the Kostanay region, the funds will be used for 22 areas of repair and reconstruction of roads, bridges and about 10 culverts.
In the North Kazakhstan region, it is planned to repair 10 roads, including in the direction of Kokshetau-Omsk, as well as to carry out medium repairs of culverts for 22 km.
The allocated funds will allow local executive bodies to restore the affected sections of roads after floods in a timely manner, ensuring the safe movement of the population.
It is worth noting that on July 17, 2024, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the restoration of housing and infrastructure after floods. During the meeting, the Head of Government instructed to speed up the restoration work, mobilize people and equipment to quickly solve problems.
