In the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the headquarters of the Gulf Cooperation Council, a forum entitled “New Horizons of Strategic Relations between the GCC and Central Asian Countries” was held. The event was organized by the GCC Secretariat for Political Affairs and Negotiations, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
The forum brought together ambassadors from GCC and Central Asian countries, as well as ambassadors from Türkiye and Azerbaijan. During the forum, participants discussed ways to strengthen regional cooperation, explore new areas of interaction, and address pressing issues on the international agenda.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, Madiyar Menilbekov, gave a speech at the forum, emphasizing the importance of the third ministerial meeting in the “Central Asia-GCC” format, which took place on April 16 of this year in Kuwait. He noted that the event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, who highlighted that the newly established “CA – GCC” platform is evolving into a promising mechanism for cooperation.
Furthermore, the Ambassador noted the importance of expanding concrete and mutually beneficial cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas.
As part of the forum, participants analyzed the current state of interregional partnership, discussed its future prospects, and exchanged views on key issues of the international agenda.
