The Kazakh Everest Team, which includes Anar Burasheva and Maksut Zhumayev, has successfully climbed the highest peak in the world - Mount Everest (8,848 meters),EL.kz reports citing the press service of the expedition.

- Due to the extreme weather conditions in the form of a storm and snowstorm at an altitude above 8000 meters, most of the expeditions turned away from the route, and only alpinists from five countries managed to successfully climb Everest.

Among them were our compatriots - Anar Burasheva, who became the first Kazakh woman in history to climb the highest peak in the world, and the honored Kazakh alpinist Maksut Zhumayev, for whom this is the third ascent of Everest Peak, the press service of the Kazakh Everest Team reported.

It took the team five days, starting with the departure on May 7 from the base camp (5350 meters), then our alpinists passed through Camp I (6100 meters) with a subsequent climb to Camp II (6400 meters), Camp III (7100 meters) and Camp IV (8000 meters) and then reached Everest Peak (8848 meters). On the top of Everest, Anar Burasheva and Maksut Zhumaev hoisted the national flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

- Anar and Maksut are staying in Camp IV (8000 meters) after the most difficult ascent. The condition  is characterized as satisfactory, but the strength is exhausted and it is necessary to gather it for the decisive descent to the base camp. The arrival of the participants at the base camp is expected this afternoon, and as soon as they can get in touch, their applications and messages about the ascent will be sent, the Kazakh Everest Team added.
