Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov held a meeting with the, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Kazakhstan Ibtissam Rakha Hassan.
The parties discussed the issue of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.
Aidarbek Saparov stressed that cooperation in the field of agriculture is one of the priority areas.
"In 2024, Kazakhstan collected a record tons of grain. We are ready to export up to 1 million tons of grain to Egypt, and if necessary, increase the volume of supplies," the minister said.
Ibtissam Rakha Hassan said that representatives of the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Agency will arrive in Kazakhstan in the near future to work on this issue. The Kazakh side is ready to provide comprehensive assistance in their work. The issues of exporting beef and lamb to Egypt, joint construction of warehouses for storing wheat and grain were also considered.
