Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova met with Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Central Asia and Mongolia Hussein Ozkhan,El.kz cites primeminister.kz.
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister noted the successful implementation of a number of projects in the real sector of the economy with the support of the financial institution. Now the bank takes part in the construction of a hospital in the city of Kokshetau within the framework of public private partnership. Tamara Duisenova urged the representatives of the financial institution to expand cooperation in the social sphere.
It was noted that on the instructions of the Head of State, measures to improve the infrastructure of education are being implemented in the republic. Schools are being built within the framework of the Comfortable School national project. In the next three years it is planned to overhaul 1.3 thousand secondary education facilities and equip them with modern subject rooms. In this context, Deputy Prime Minister urged the representatives of the international financial institution to work together in this direction.
In his turn, Hüseyin Özkhan stressed that the EBRD is ready to develop co-operation in the social sphere. He also expressed readiness to consider the proposed projects together with the interested state bodies and other international financial institutions.
