Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Kydyrali met with Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev, El.kz cites the press service of the Ministry.
At the meeting, Darkhan Kydyrali noted the holding of the X Baku Global Forum at the highest level.
“President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pays special attention to strengthening relations with Azerbaijan. This is evidenced by the official visit of the Head of State to Azerbaijan in August last year.
As a result of the visit, a memorandum of cooperation in the field of information was signed between the two countries and to date, work is being carried out within the framework of the agreement," the minister said.
Darkhan Kydyrali stressed the general interaction in the field of media, proposed the exchange of experience and content in the field of media.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, the outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev. In honor of this event, documentaries and articles are published in the media organizations of Kazakhstan.
The minister also proposed joint work in the direction of youth policy.
In conclusion, the minister thanked the Azerbaijani side for participating in the I Central Asian Media Forum, held at the end of last year in Astana and invited to become an honorary guest of the first National Award of television series "Nauryz", which will be held on March 31 this year. He also offered to take part in the International Volunteer Forum and the Youth Platform of the Organization of the Turkic States.
In turn, Hikmet Hajiyev highly appreciated the cooperation between the two countries and expressed readiness to implement joint projects.
