Cooperation with Kazakhstan in social sphere discussed in Pretoria

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to South Africa, Yerkin Akhinzhanov, held a meeting with South Africa’s Deputy Minister of Social Development and leader of the only Muslim political party in Parliament “Al Jama-ah”, Ganief Hendricks, to discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of social development, El.kz cites MFA.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of mutual learning and collaborative efforts to address shared challenges, strengthen social protection systems, and improve the quality of life for citizens in both countries.

Ambassador Akhinzhanov highlighted the reforms and initiatives spearheaded by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to enhance the social well-being of the Kazakh people. He also shared details about the recently launched “Born Bold” campaign, which showcases i.a. social progress and innovation, as well as the activities of the Kazakhstan International Development Agency, KazAID.

In response, Ganief Hendricks outlined the priorities of his department and expressed keen interest in deepening collaboration in this critical area.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing dialogue on the topics discussed and exploring new avenues for cooperation, that promise mutual benefits for Kazakhstan and South Africa.
