In 2024, the Center's specialists provided emergency assistance to more than 2,600 victims of natural disasters, man-made accidents and road accidents, El.kz reports.

Since the beginning of the year, the branches of the Center have made more than 6,700 visits to the scene of incidents. Among the victims who were rescued, more than 2,500 people were rescued, of which 339 were hospitalized. The high level of efficiency and professionalism of the staff has become the basis for the successful work of the Center.

Transport medicine has continued to develop since 2011 within the framework of the State Program "Salamatty Kazakhstan". An important stage was the creation of route medical and rescue points (MSP), which since 2012 have been providing emergency assistance on accident-prone road sections. Today, there are 40 such points in the republic.

This year, medical and rescue teams of the Mass Media Hospital made 1,758 trips, providing assistance to 2,526 victims and hospitalizing 1,400 people. In addition, in difficult weather conditions, 60 people were rescued on the tracks.

In order to improve the efficiency of medical and rescue stations, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan continues to update the infrastructure. In 2024, large-scale work was carried out to repair six points, where the internal and external parts of the buildings were updated, outdated systems and equipment were replaced. All these measures create comfortable and safe conditions for both medical workers and victims who are being treated.

The work of the Center for Disaster Medicine and its specialists is not just about saving lives. This is a daily overcoming of difficulties, a struggle with time and circumstances, where each trip is a chance to give people a second life. This year, more than 3 thousand lives were saved by the employees of the CDM.
