British scientist holds seminar for teachers in Almaty

Well-known British scientist David Frost visited the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University as part of his official trip to Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Frost is co-director of the HertsCam Network and an Honorary Research Fellow at Wolfson College, Cambridge. The British professor was greeted by Rector Gulmira Kanai. Frost held a seminar for university professors on the topic "How to effectively develop cooperation between schools and universities."

The visit of the scientist was a significant event for the teaching staff of the women's university and contributed to the development of cooperation between educational institutions of Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom. As Frost's work over the years has focused on empowering teachers as agents of change. He interviewed various people who spoke about the transformative effect of this process on their lives.

At the beginning of his career, Frost worked as a school teacher in the UK, then became a university lecturer. Since the 1980s, he has been actively developing strategies to enable teachers to become agents of change in their schools and communities. In addition, Frost writes extensively about teacher leadership and is interested in pedagogy and school leadership.
