Director Carrie Kendall from Great Britain presented her new short documentary film, From Havering to Burabay, El.kz reports.

The project is created as part of British delegation  in the international festival "Voices of Friends: Poetry & Art".

"Voices of Friends" has been held since 2020 in Burabay National Park. This festival is a significant event in the cultural life of Kazakhstan, attracting creative people from different countries. In 2024, this bright event brought together more than 50 talented poets, artists, musicians, and filmmakers from 15 countries, confirming Kazakhstan's status as an important cultural platform for international exchange.

Carrie Kendall is a director of documentary shorts with social commentary and an active participant in film festivals.

Inspired by the beauty of the Burabay region, she created a work that reflects not only natural wealth, but also the power of art to unite people.

"Working on the film 'From Havering to Burabay' was an incredible experience for me. The nature of Kazakhstan, especially Burabay, amazed me with its beauty and grandeur. This film is my tribute to the Kazakh culture and all the talented people with whom I had the honor to work at the 'Voices of Friends' festival. I hope that my film will help even more people learn about the diverse culture of Kazakhstan," Carrie Kendall said.

The film will be shown at the eighth Eurasian Creative Week festival from 28 to 30 November in Scotland.
