Last year, under a five-year programme to implement 86 investment projects worth 1.9 trillion tenge, 21 projects worth 37 billion tenge were implemented in the region, creating 411 new jobs. These include: 6 projects in the production of construction materials, 10 in the agro-industrial sector, 1 project in transport logistics, and the rest in trade and education. Among the major projects is the new terminal of Korkyt Ata airport. In 2025 in Kyzylorda region it is planned to put into operation 24 projects worth 275.3 billion tenge with the creation of about 1 thousand jobs and output of 30.8 billion tenge. Among the major projects are a brick plant with a capacity of 90 million pieces per year, production of camel milk powder with a capacity of 392 tonnes per year, the first phase of the project on repair, maintenance and construction of passenger cars, a new CHPP with a capacity of 240 MW.

"We plan to realise the construction of 4 solar and 1 wind power plants with a total capacity of 141 MW. The power demand of the region is 200 MW per day and there are 9 solar power plants with a total capacity of 89 MW in the region. When 5 projects will be launched, our region will completely switch to green energy," Ardak Zebeshev, Zamakima of the region, noted.

The Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented to the participants of the meeting the possibilities of the National Digital Investment Platform - a single window for interaction between investors, government agencies and quasi-governmental sector. Today in the pool of the platform - 836 projects, of which 246 are planned for implementation in 2025.

The meeting considered problematic issues of realisation of two major investment projects in the region. These are increasing the efficiency of the polymetallic ore deposit "Shalkiya" and the construction of a plant for the production of soda ash.

In particular, Araltuz JSC, which produces food and industrial salt, polypropylene bags, is currently implementing a project to build the first in Kazakhstan plant for the production of soda ash. This is a raw component required for the production of glass bottles. Currently, it is almost entirely imported into Kazakhstan. The project requires significant investment, there are questions about extending the terms and conditions of credit financing. The Minister instructed the relevant financial institutions to find all opportunities to support the project.

"On the part of government agencies should be the maximum assistance to business in removing barriers to the implementation of investment projects. The target of 246 projects for 2025 is a good indicator, and to achieve it, we need to remove all barriers as much as possible, to ensure timely financing. For this purpose, within a short period of time the Committee on Investments together with the Ministry of Industry and akimats should carry out gradation of projects according to the principle - priority industry and high added value. And, based on the results, to provide support for their implementation," Serik Zhumangarin summarised the results of the meeting.
