A joint scientific and educational center of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan has been opened in Baku. Rector of Utebayev University Gulzada Shakulikova visited Baku Higher Oil School and participated in the opening ceremony of the center.

This event contributes to the development of educational institutions, multilateral scientific research and strengthening cooperation within the framework of scientific forums, conferences and seminars, El.kz reports.

The goal of the Azerbaijani-Kazakh Scientific and Educational Center is to introduce sustainable practices through scientific research and technological innovation, as well as cooperation in the field of environmental protection. The center also plays an important role in solving environmental problems, promoting sustainable practices, and improving the skills of students and young professionals.

Gulzada Shakulikova noted that attracting young people to this center supports them in continuing to work on sustainable development and combating climate change.

The center will study the environmental problems of the Caspian Sea, develop innovative methods to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the hydrocarbon sector and introduce advanced digital solutions to optimize processes in the oil and gas industry. The Centre also promotes academic mobility by providing undergraduate, graduate and academic opportunities to participate in exchange programmes and international cooperation.

Joint scientific and educational centers contribute to the acceleration of scientific progress by combining the resources and knowledge of different countries. Joint research allows scientists and students to work on topical problems, exchange experience and knowledge, which significantly speeds up the process of scientific discoveries. Moreover, such centers allow for interdisciplinary research, bringing together specialists from different fields to solve complex problems.
