Astana prepares for 80th anniversary of Great Victory

Kazakh Minister of Defense Ruslan Zhaksylykov, inspected the preparations for the military parade dedicated to 80th anniversary of Great Victory,El.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

General-major Mereke Kuchekbayev reported to the Minister on personnel and equipment readiness.

"From April 25, the participants of the Parade will begin joint training, in which military equipment and aviation will take part. And on May 3 and 5, dress rehearsals will be held on "Kazakh Eli" monument," said Major General Mereke Kuchekbayev.

Addressing the servicemen, he expressed gratitude for the work done and stressed the importance of the upcoming event.

"The military parade is not just an event, its role is to observe the traditions of the Kazakh army, to preserve the cultural heritage of our country. There is not a single family in Kazakhstan from which our grandfathers and great-grandfathers would not go to the front," Ruslan Zhaksylykov said.

The minister also focused the importance of compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, ensuring comfortable living conditions, good nutrition and a high level of discipline in the field camp.
