Ambassador of Kazakhstan meets with President of Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies

A meeting took place between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Margulan Baimukhan and the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Claude Wiseler, El.kz cites MFA.

During the conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The Kazakh diplomat also spoke about relations between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg through the prism of the dynamic development of relations between the European Union and Central Asia. Particular attention was paid to the development of transport and logistics connections between the regions, the results of «the Global Gateway Investors Forum for the EU-CA Transport Connectivity»and the readiness of European and international financial institutions to co-finance the development of the Middle Corridor in the amount of more than 10 billion euros.

Margulan Baimukhan also informed the Head of the Luxembourg Parliament about the political reforms initiated by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, about the socio-economic development of the country as well as the structure and activities of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh diplomat also invited Claude Wiseler to take part in the Astana International Forum in June of this year.

Claude Wiseler, noting the active development of trade and economic cooperation between the countries, expressed Luxembourg's interest in building up inter-parliamentary dialogue with Kazakhstan.

The parties agreed to consider the possibility of holding a number of events with the participation of parliamentarians of both countries.
