Ambassador of Kazakhstan meets with Chairman of independent election commission of Jordan

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Talgat Shaldanbay met with Musa Al-Maaytah, Chairman of the Independent Election Commission of Jordan, El.kz cites MFA.

Ambassador congratulated Al-Maaytah on the success of the House of Representatives of the Jordanian Parliament elections, which were held on September 10, 2024.

During the meeting, the Jordanian side was informed about President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s State of the Nation Address dated September 2, 2024, the prospects of Kazakhstan’s political and socio-economic development, and the upcoming republican referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, which will be held on October 6, 2024.

The Kazakh diplomat handed Al-Maaytah the invitation on behalf of the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan Nurlan Abdirov to observe the preparations and the conduct of the republican referendum.

In turn, the Chairman of the Independent Election Commission of Jordan, emphasizing that the Hashemite Kingdom pays special attention to Kazakhstan’s role in the Islamic world and cooperation with the Kazakh side within the framework of international organizations, confirmed the participation of members of the Independent Election Commission of Jordan in the republican referendum in Kazakhstan.

At the end of the meeting, Al-Maaytah expressed confidence in the success of the republican referendum and wished Kazakhstan peace and prosperity.
