ALMAZ ALIYEV IS GRAND PRIX WINNER OF YOUNG ARTISTS COMPETITION

Today, the Palace of schoolchildren of Astana hosted the Republican contest of fine arts of young artists, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

With the support of Astana Education Department "Zhasai ber, Tauelsiz Kazakhstan!" Republican competition was attended by about a thousand students from the regions of the country.

The competition was attended by young talents aged 5 to 17 years in the categories: fine arts (painting, watercolor, gouache, oil paint, drawing, graphics, linocut) and arts and crafts (wood, metal, leather, applique, collage, ceramics, tapestry, batik, embroidery).

Chairman of the jury – Chairman of the Union of artists of Astana, honored worker of Kazakhstan Zhanuzak Mussapir: "This event was held on the eve of Independence day, which gave a great mood to students and their parents. Within its framework, an exhibition was organized, where visitors were able to see the works of young talents. As part of the action "Road to school" in the school-lyceum No. 20 was held charity event "Road to school". And the one who sees it gets a huge impression.

It was not easy for us to analyze the work of young talents, to choose the best of them. Because each of them can be called a masterpiece apart," said Zhanuzak Mussapir.

The exhibition presented paintings reflecting the past and present of independent Kazakhstan, as well as objects of applied art that characterize the spiritual values of the nation, all participants were awarded with special certificates and awarded diplomas and cups to students who took I, II, III places.

Director of the Schoolchildren's Palace Yerbol Irgebai said: "The competition defined core areas of fine and applied art of young artists and developed creative abilities. Their patriotic feelings for the Motherland, native land are developing and expanding the concept of tolerance and aesthetics. We have made sure once again that every citizen of our country can be proud," he said.

Out of thousands of works, Grand Prix was awarded to Almaz Aliyev, a student of the 11th grade of the gymnasium school No. 67 in Astana. The panel is made of metal and plasticine materials called "Kazakhstan", which depicts the spirit of Kazakh people in ancient times.

"I did this work under my supervisor’s direction for a month and a half. The workflow was very complex. But conscientious work was highly appreciated and won the main prize. I'm really happy," the winner shared his impressions.
