Almaty museums recognized as best in Turkic world

The International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY has identified the best museums among the countries that make up the Turkic world, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. The High Award Best Museum of the Turkic World was received by the Association of Museums of Almaty, El.kz reports.

The certificate of honorary recognition was presented by the Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Rayev.

Rayev noted the significant contribution of Almaty museums to the popularization of Kazakh culture abroad. In Istanbul, Seoul, Prague, Naples, Vienna and other cities of the world, traveling exhibitions dedicated to the nomads of Kazakhstan were held, which aroused admiration among connoisseurs of art and history. According to him, the support of the city authorities played an important role in this success.

It is also emphasized that Almaty museologists have undergone internships and training in the world's leading museums, including the Louvre in Paris, as well as organized 7 international exhibitions and signed 15 memorandums of cooperation with foreign partners.
