Particular attention was paid to further cooperation in organizing events in 2025, when the city of Aktau will take the status of the cultural capital of the Turkic world. This was reported by the press service of the akimat of the Mangistau region.

The head of the region, Nurlan Nogayev, met with the Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev. Akim of the city of Aktau Ulugbek Tnaliev acquainted the participants of the meeting with the preliminary plan of events timed to coincide with 2025.

Throughout the year, the participating countries will hold a variety of events, gathering on the shores of the Caspian Sea, in order to strengthen friendship and cooperation.

"At the 40th meeting of the member states of the international organization for the development of Turkic culture and art TURKSOY, held in Shusha (Azerbaijan), an important decision was made that Aktau will become the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2025. This is a significant achievement, and we are already actively preparing for a variety of cultural and sports events. Thus, concerts of classical and folk music, exhibitions of photographs and paintings, festivals of theater troupes, music and dance groups, as well as other representatives of the art of the Turkic world are planned in Aktau. We also plan to hold international creative workshops, creative meetings, competitions in national sports and much more. Our goal is to show the world the richness of the cultural heritage of the Turkic-speaking countries and demonstrate the friendship and solidarity between our peoples. This is a unique opportunity for Aktau to get a new impetus for the development of tourism and entrepreneurship, and for the participating countries - the opportunity to visit our picturesque region and see it with their own eyes. We have a lot of interesting and surprising things, and we are proud to be able to share them with the world," Ulugbek Tnaliev said.

TURKSOY Secretary General, Sultan Rayev, stressed that the choice of Aktau as the capital of the Turkic world is not accidental, as the region is known for its sacred and historical places.

"Mangistau is a unique and picturesque region, famous for its holy places. Previously, the cultural capitals of the Turkic world in Kazakhstan were Astana and Turkestan. I am sure that this event will be held with dignity in Aktau. It will be interesting for the world community to see what Turkic traditions are and what unites our fraternal peoples. Our task is to preserve and popularize the common Turkic culture around the world," Sultan Rayev said.

Akim of Mangystau Nurlan Nogayev stressed that it is a great honor for the region to receive guests and organize such high-level events.

"This event is a global event that gives us the opportunity to present ourselves as Turkic-speaking countries on the world stage. We are ready to meet and show all the hospitality and cultural heritage of our ancestors, to contribute to strengthening ties and mutual understanding between our peoples," Nurlan Nogayev said.
