Scientists at Akhmet Yassawi University have launched a 30kW solar power plant, which will become an educational and research platform for students, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The project was implemented within the framework of the grant program "Development of research and engineering activities of students through the implementation of STEM projects in the field of solar energy".

It is aimed at developing renewable energy sources and training engineering specialists.

Thanks to the new station, students will be able to conduct research on the performance of solar panels, study the effects of insolation angle, thermal effects and pollution on the efficiency of energy generation, as well as work on optimizing the placement of panels and integrating energy storage systems.

Control over the operation of the solar power plant is carried out through the SOLARMAN Smart platform, which allows you to monitor data on energy generation and consumption in real time, analyze inverter indicators and control the system remotely. This gives students the opportunity not only to study the physical and engineering aspects of solar energy, but also to master digital technologies for managing power systems.

The launch of the power plant will help the university reduce its dependence on traditional energy sources, as well as strengthen the practical training of future specialists.

Scientists are confident that the project will become a successful example of the integration of green technologies into higher education in Kazakhstan.
