“Abai Readings” contest was held in Tallinn

“Abai Readings” competition dedicated to the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Estonia, the event was attended by representatives of the local Kazakh diaspora, El.kz cites MFA.

The objectives of the contest were to popularize Abai’s heritage, strengthen national unity, foster patriotism, increase public interest in national culture and art, and develop a culture of reading among children.

The winners received valuable prizes in the form of souvenirs in the national style. Participants and spectators of the competition noted the importance of holding such events to expand the scope of the state language and maintain cultural ties with Kazakhstan. In particular, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Estonia Nurlan Seitimov, who delivered a welcoming address, thanked his compatriots for striving to preserve national traditions and values through educational enlightenment of the younger generation.
