To date, 88% of schools in the country have already created conditions for inclusive education, El.kz reports.
This year, for the first time, a three-level model of psychological and pedagogical support was introduced. New requirements have also been developed for support rooms and individual programs that are designed to work with children with special needs.
"At the moment, 60 thousand children in educational institutions are covered by the necessary psychological and pedagogical support. This is an important step to ensure that every child, regardless of his or her characteristics, has equal access to quality education," said Laura Butabayeva, Director of the Department of Inclusive and Special Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main task of schools that implement inclusive education is to support the individuality of each child, to help develop his unique abilities and resistance to social influence.
