86 new schools for 130 thousand pupils have been put into operation in different regions of Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
Within the framework of the National Project "Comfortable School", initiated by the President of the country, 27 schools for 74.8 thousand places have been built, nine of them in Astana, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Education.
The national project "Comfortable School" focuses on the functionality and safety of the educational environment. The new schools include separate blocks for primary and senior classes, security measures are being strengthened with the help of modern technical means. The project also provides for the creation of a barrier-free environment for children with special needs and equipping schools with modern classrooms.
By the end of 2025, it is planned to open another 217 schools of a modern format within the framework of the project. Financing of new schools is carried out through the Education Infrastructure Support Fund, the republican and local budgets, as well as with the attraction of private investment.
