Akim of the Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy spoke about the socio-economic development of the region and reported on the work done in the field of employment at a briefing in the CCS, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akimat of the region of Turkestan.
About 55 thousand new jobs have been created in the region in the five months of this year. By the end of the year, 109,000 people will be covered by employment measures.
"As part of the initiative of the Head of State to create 100 new jobs per 10,000 people, about 12,000 jobs have been created in the Turkestan region. This year it is planned to provide grants to 1688 citizens to open a case. Two billion tenge has been allocated for this. Also, for the first time, 594 young people are provided with preferential microloans at 2.5 percent. For Turkestan youth, 2.9 billion tenge has been allocated for this, Darkhan Satybaldy said.
He also noted that events are regularly held to explain to the population the conditions of state programs aimed at employment and entrepreneurship. As part of the events, rural youth and citizens of the NEET category are urged not to miss such opportunities. Some residents may not be aware of such programs. Therefore, these outreach groups are actively working. As a result of this systematic approach, the unemployment rate was five percent.
