At the moment, work is underway to revise the minimum requirements for the quality of the Internet connection, which provides for the establishment of a minimum speed of 100 Mbps for all schools, El.kz reports.
As part of this initiative, Starlink satellites are installed in 1,731 out of 1,879 schools in Kazakhstan.
Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev stressed that the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry is working to activate terminals in 137 border schools.
The need for the akims of Zhambyl, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Turkestan regions and the Ulytau region to control the solution of the problem of schools with low Internet speed was noted.
