"This is my fourth Olympics. My first experience was in 2004 when the Games were held in Athens. I missed the Beijing Olympics as I was the head coach of the team at that time.
Then I was a judge in London in 2012 and in Rio (2016). Unfortunately, he was not a referee at the Tokyo Games.
I have also been a referee at 18 World Championships throughout my career. The last time it happened was in 2022 in Liverpool. At the end of that World Cup, I entered the top five referees. This allowed me to participate at the Olympics in Paris," Amirbekov shared.
