‘Stars Do Not Fade’ in the capital's Friendship House

Within the framework of the documentary film-marathon "Stars Do Not Fade" (1999 -2019) with the support of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and "Nur Otan" party, the viewing of the documentary film "Kazakhstan in the Great Patriotic War" by State Prize winner Asylbek Nugmanov, shot in 1975 was organized in the capital’s Friendship House.

Homefront workers, veterans of labor, members of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan took part in the collective film viewing.

Head of “Qogamdyq Kelisim ” MPI at Mayor’s Office of Nur-Sultan Nuraly Aidashev addressed with the welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting. In particular, he told about the capital's Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, interesting work, which is held in the walls of Friendship House and the upcoming prospects. As Nuraly Aidashev assured, the work in a new format will find further continuation.


"Such meetings should become traditional, it is necessary to expand the circle of participants" he noted, thanking veterans and youth for active participation in the patriotic project.

The author of the project "Stars Do Not Fade" was preliminary to the film screening with information about the film marathon of 20 years in length. Demonstration of the documentary film "Kazakhstan in the Great Patriotic War" is timed to the 78th anniversary of the beginning of the war.

According to Saule Davletbekova, project "Stars Do Not Fade" – "Nobody is forgotten - nothing is forgotten", restores the names of the heroes of film chronicles through its publications in the media.


“The heroes of film chronicles are our multi-ethnic people" she said. “People of work, captured many years ago in footage, become the heroes of the author's materials that appear on the pages of the periodical press," she said. The veterans and youth gathered in the conference hall of Friendship House and watched the film about the participation of Kazakhstanis in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 with great interest. Familiar shots of newsreels of the war years, famous statesmen, interviews of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Talgat Bigeldinov and other war heroes made an indelible impression.

Veterans Grigory Shishov and Vladimir Petrov read their poems about the war, told about their creativity and great work on military-patriotic education. They emphasized, that especially in the Year of Youth, as never before meetings with young Kazakhstanis are relevant within the framework of the program "Ruhani zhangyru".


General Vladimir Shatskov, who is doing a lot of work on military-patriotic education among young people, in the course of his speech said:

"We will look for Kazakhstani heroes all over the territory of the former Soviet Union. A true patriot of the country loves his homeland, republic, Kazakh land. The victory was forged by people of different nationalities. And today, after decades, we keep the historical memory of the Great Victory and friendship of the people who defended our sacred land. And this is the general opinion of the participants of the film marathon, representatives of different generations and different ethnicities.


On this day the participants of the meeting visited the exhibition "Analar Amanaty" in the House of Friendship, which impressed them with comfort, coziness and hospitality. Many veterans admit that this is not their first time here, and every time they come here with pleasure and find something to do. G. Shishov and V. Petrov presented the House of Friendship with collections of poems about the Victory. A common photo - a good memory of the spiritual meeting of generations was taken, which will be remembered by all for a long time.
